Cultura e sapori Bio della Val di Vara: Carrodano Maissana e Carro
Ore 9,00 Partenza da Levanto con pullman G.T.
Durante il tragitto passeremo da Carrodano per ammirare il ponte Medievale e i monumenti storici che il borgo offre ai visitatori.
Ore 10,15 Arrivo e ritiro del pranzo al sacco.
Ore 10,30 Partenza a piedi per il sito archeologico di Lagorara. Il percorso, della durata di 1h,30, si snoda su strada sterrata e sentieri nel bosco, puliti e facilmente percorribili.
Durante il tragitto si incontreranno diversi “casoni”: strutture in pietra che in epoche lontane venivano utilizzati come ricovero per gli animali o per essiccare le castagne e rappresentano oggi, un patrimonio da conservare.
Arrivati a destinazione si potrà ammirare una suggestiva cava a cielo aperto di diaspro, attiva dall’età del Rame.
Una guida locale darà una dimostrazione di come si lavorava all’epoca questa particolare pietra che si presta particolarmente per ottenere oggetti appuntiti che andavano a creare le armi dell’epoca.
Ore 12,30 Picnic ai piedi dell’imponente roccia, si pranzerà sulla riva di un ruscello, all’ombra del bosco accostando al sapore unico dei prodotti tipici Bio del territorio, i profumi dirompenti di una natura incontaminata.
Ore 14,00 Partenza a piedi per il ritorno al bus previsto in circa 1h.
Ore 15,15 Partenza con autopullman per Carro
Visita del borgo di origini romaniche, che diede i natali al famoso musicista Nicolò Paganini e in onore del quale ogni anno, nel periodo estivo, si svolge il Festival Paganiniano.
A seguire visita di una cantina e degustazione di vini.
Ore 17,45 Partenza per il rientro a Levanto previsto per le 18,30 circa

Culture and the Organic Tastes of the Val di Vara, Maissana and Carro
Departing at 9am from Levanto.
Arriving at 10am at Campore di Maissana and pick up a packed lunch.
At 10.30am you leave on foot for the archeological site at Lagorara. The walk takes 1 hour 30 minutes on made roads and cleared footpaths through woods and is not difficult.
During the walk you will meet different ‟buildings” built in stone that in times past were used as stabling for animals or to dry chestnuts and today represent a heritage to preserve.
On arriving at the destination you can admire an evocative open to the sky quarry used in the Chalcolithic Period (Copper Age) which overlaps the early Bronze Age, 4500bc to 3500bc. A local guide will give a demonstration of how they worked this particular stone at the time, it particularly lent itself to make a sharp, pointed objects that went to create the weapons of that time.
At 12.30pm picnic at the foot of an impressive rock, you will eat on the banks of a stream in the shade of the woods, experiencing the unique flavours of the typical organic products of the territory, the explosive fragrances of nature.
At 2pm you leave on foot for the return walk to the coach, estimated at 1 hour.
At 3.15pm the coach leaves for Carro.
Visit the village of Roman origin where the famous musician Nicolò Paganini was born, in honour of this, every year in the summer period the Paganini Festival is staged there.
Following that you visit a Winery cellar for a wine tasting.
At 5.45pm you depart for Levanto arriving at approximately 6.30pm

- The walk is of medium difficulty but accessible to everyone with adequate footwear, NO FLIP FLOPS
- Suggested footwear, trekking shoes or boots.
- Everyone will be supplied with a packed lunch containing typical local produce.
